Through coursework and research, students become able to design and execute social science research projects using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods, such as ethnography, focus groups, in-depth interviewing, program evaluation and survey research. Students also gain experience presenting their research findings to diverse audiences, including academic scholars, prospective employers, policymakers and community stakeholders.
