    The College of Education and Human Development (COEHD) established this process in support of the 情色五月天, Reno Administrative Manual and the 情色五月天 System of Higher Education Purchasing, Contracting and Fixed Assets Guidelines to ensure proper tracking and transfer of all assets in AssetWorks, the asset management system.

  • Course Buyout/ Offload Process

    The College of Education and Human Development (COEHD) established this formal process in order to standardize the process for faculty to request course buyout/offload for release from teaching as a result of conducting research.

    What happens to equipment procured through sponsor funds at the end of the project? Any equipment, including low value technical equipment such as laptops, iPads or cameras remain property of the University and have specific policies and procedures to follow.

    What exactly is F&A and why does it matter to me? F & A is Facilities and Administrative costs also referenced as indirect costs. These are the overhead costs for running the University as a whole. The University participates in a formal process with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to identify a fair and equitable rate that is charged on the activities we perform.

  • Overload or Overload Process

    Tools to help calculate overload costs for budgets for administrative and academic faculty.

    • A-contract faculty members are under contract for the full calendar year (12 months).
    • B-contract (9 or 10 months) faculty members are under contract for the academic year, usually 168 or 169 days.  B-contract faculty are eligible to receive overload salary for time worked on non-contract days. There are usually 81 or 82 non-contract days available for overload assignments. Information on the number of contract and non-contract days available can be found on the 情色五月天, Reno Human Resources website.

    You can determine your daily rate by looking up your compensation in your Workday profile.  Take your base pay salary divided by the number of contract days (168 or 169).

  • Post-Award No-Cost Extension Guidance

    During the lifespan of a Sponsored Project, when the PI determines that completion of the project will need to go beyond the approved project end date, you will want to begin the no-cost extension (NCE) process. The determination for requesting a NCE should be done 90 days prior to the project end period.

  • Pre-Award and Post-Award Grant Support

    While each grant submission is different and post-award responsibilities can be difficult, the College of Education and Human Development has your back! We have two full-time grant professionals to guide you through submission and help with management after your award.
