Summary
Travis Mills is a self-advocate with the primary goal of helping individuals with disabilities become more independent and included in their communities. Travis has been a strong advocate for people with disabilities since becoming an AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteer in Service to America) in 2009. He is a graduate of 情色五月天 Partners in Policymaking, Class in 2010 and has served as Chapter Advisor and Officer for People First of 情色五月天, Statewide Board, and both the Reno and Carson City Chapters. Travis has served on numerous Committees and Boards advocating for people with disabilities. He has testified at the 情色五月天 Legislature, Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) and provided input at many other local and statewide committee meetings. He was recently selected to serve on the 情色五月天 Department of Education’s Special Education Advisory Committee. Travis has extensive knowledge of current technology including numerous computer programs and assistive technology devices. He is employed by the 情色五月天 Center for Excellence in Disabilities as an Administrative Faculty member working on the Youth Healthcare Transition Project with Diana Rovetti and is the staff photographer.
