MS Dietetics Specialization
This specialization will include didactic graduate-level courses in addition to supervised practice by the University's Dietetic Internship Program. Graduates of the program will earn a Masters of Science (M.S.) in Nutrition and a Dietetic Internship Program (DI) Verification Statement upon completion of the M.S. in Nutrition. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be approved for eligibility to take the .
- Students are required to complete 30 total units including didactic coursework (24 units) and 1,000 supervised practice (6 units).
- Students are required to satisfactorily complete all ACEND 2022 Competencies for the RDN in a minimum of 1,000 hours of documented supervised practice in the University's Dietetic Internship Program.
Graduates of the Dietetic Specialization Program will earn a M.S. in Nutrition and a Dietetic Internship Program (DI) Verification Statement will be provided after successful completion of the M.S. in Nutrition and after successfully completing a minimum of 1,000 hours of documented supervised practice experiences necessary to acquire the ACEND 2022 Core Competencies for the Registered Dietitian.
